Mission Statement

Jesus gave bread; we serve Him by serving others, both near and far away

At St. Luke's, we live out this section of the mission statement in the following ways:

SERVICE: We provide service to those near to us through our active involvement in food pantries, free ecumenical dinners for the community, monthly nursing home worship services, and our hospital chaplaincy program. We seek to serve others far from us through our partnership program with a diocese in Haiti and our support of the Heifer International program. Through the Episcopal Relief and Development organization, we are able to give donations in response to crisis situations such as Hurricane Katrina. We are greatly blessed to have a deacon, the Rev. Tom Deschaine, at St. Luke's, who provides a link between the church and the concerns of the wider community.
